Description: The F-14 Tomcat entered service in 1974 with the U.S. Navy, replacing the F-4 Phantom II. It was retired from the active U.S. Navy fleet on 22 September 2006, having been replaced by the F/A-18E/F Super Hornet. The Century Wings 1/144 line of die cast models pack an incredible amount of detail in a small package. This Tomcat is from the famous Jolly Rogers squadron flying off of the USS Nimitz in 1978.
