1) "Firepower" - Artillery of the Modern German Army
Artillery is an essential component of any self-respecting army, and the German Bundeswehr has an impressive artillery force. Its main weapon systems are the M109A3GEA2, Panzerhaubitze 2000 and MLRS, and these weapon systems are explained in considerable detail, accompanied by a broad cross-section of photos. The article also covers associated equipment such as radar and recce systems.

2) Italian Pumas in Action
Italy has produced the Puma series of armored vehicles in 4x4 and 6x6 configurations. This article examines principally the Puma 6x6 version while on active service in Afghanistan and Iraq. The detailed photos offer good coverage of vehicles both internally and externally, and the text offers background information.

3 ) Iron Warrior
The 1st Armored Division of the U.S. Army is based in Germany, and this article describes a major exercise conducted by constituent units. The whole range of vehicles operated by the U.S. Army (e.g. M113, Bradley, Abrams) have been captured by the camera lens as they participate in this large-scale FTX in various locales.

4 ) Iraqistan at NTC
There have been many articles and books written on U.S. troops in Iraq and Afghanistan, but where do units do their pre-deployment training? The National Training Center (NTC) in California's Mojave Desert offers the perfect environment for troops to hone their skills as they work amidst Iraqi role-players and "insurgents". This article looks at the current type of training conducted at the NTC.
