The Mk48 was developed by FN at the request of special operations unit to satisfy the need for a lighter weight 7.62mm machine gun. This was accomplished by essentially scaling up the FN M249 to the larger 7.62mm round. The Crazy Dummy version features a sliding stock, working action, opening top cover, opening ejection port, removable barrel.
