We are often asked: “Why the name Monkey Depot?” The answer is that our original name (Depot 21) was registered by some slick person after we had been doing business under that name. We searched availability of every combination we could think of that had a military type vibe (bunker, depot, quartermaster, etc). Finally, out of pure frustration we typed: monkeydepot.com as sort of a joke and lo and behold it was available. It started as a joke and after awhile, we just ran with it. Besides, everything is cooler with the word monkey in it. |
